I'm making the following commitments, publicly and permanently:
PHYSICAL:
- Exercise for at least 30 minutes, 5 days per week
- No alcohol for the entire 30 days
- Sleep at least 7 hours per night
MENTAL:
- Meditate for 10 minutes daily
- Read for 30 minutes daily (no social media substitutes)
- Journal every evening
SOCIAL:
- Reach out to one old friend per week
- Have one difficult conversation I've been avoiding
- Express genuine gratitude to someone daily
PROFESSIONAL:
- Complete the project I've been procrastinating
- Have the conversation with my boss about my career path
- Dedicate 2 hours per week to skill development
WHY I'M DOING THIS PUBLICLY:
Because I've made these commitments privately a hundred times and failed. Maybe if there's a permanent record, if I know that in 30 days anyone can see whether I followed through, maybe that will be the difference.
When this unlocks, I'll create a new capsule with my results. Did I do it? Did I fail? Find out.
Whatever the answer, at least I tried to hold myself accountable.
